What is this settlement about?

ADT disclosed in an SEC filing that it became aware on April 20, 2026 of unauthorized access to certain cloud-based environments. The ShinyHunters extortion group claimed it took more than 10 million records. ADT has said the exposed data included names, phone numbers and addresses, and for a small share of people also dates of birth and the last four digits of a Social Security or tax ID number; it says no payment information or security-system data was taken. Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating. This is an attorney investigation, not a settled class action.
