What is this settlement about?
Pfizer allegedly failed to follow current good manufacturing practices, which let its Chantix stop-smoking pills become contaminated with a nitrosamine. Nitrosamines are probable human carcinogens that have been linked to stomach, liver and other cancers. Pfizer denies wrongdoing but agreed to a $44 million settlement.
