What is this investigation about?

On or about May 7, 2026, Heights Finance Holdings Co. discovered that an unauthorized actor had gained access to a cloud-based platform hosted by a third party that it used to store customer data. Heights Finance has said the activity was limited to that platform and did not affect its loan management systems. It posted a breach notice on its website on August 11, 2026 and began emailing affected individuals later that month. According to that notice, the information involved varies by individual but may have included names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, bank account and routing numbers and other financial account details, Social Security numbers, tax IDs, driver’s license or state ID numbers, dates of birth, and information consumers shared during customer service interactions. Law firms investigating the incident are gathering affected individuals to pursue claims through mass arbitration rather than a class action. This is an attorney-advertising intake. No outcome is guaranteed and there is no cost to have your claim reviewed. Separately, Heights Finance is offering 24 months of credit monitoring and identity protection through Epiq at privacysolutionsid.com, using the activation code printed in your notice email. Enrollment closes November 9, 2026. Signing up for monitoring is not a claim and does not affect your ability to pursue one.
