What is this settlement about?

The National Association of Realtors and a group of real estate brokerages allegedly conspired to inflate and fix the commissions paid to real estate brokers on homes listed through a Multiple Listing Service. Homebuyers say the arrangement drove up what they paid and cut back the buyer-broker services they received. The defendants deny wrongdoing but agreed to pay more than $120 million.
