What is this settlement about?
This settlement resolves allegations brought by the Federal Trade Commission and the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office that NGL Labs, LLC and its co-founders deceptively marketed the "NGL: ask me anything" anonymous messaging app by sending fake messages that appeared to come from real users, misleading people into subscribing to a paid service by promising it would reveal message senders' identities, and failing to clearly disclose recurring subscription charges.
